Highland went over to Buckeye Valley last evening and showed why Monday Night is a good football night not a good futbol night. For those of you who are old enough to remember vinyl records you know most record players had two speeds and depending on the size of the record, the record player had to be set at the correct speed or it would not sound good(although some songs actually sounded better played at a faster speed). Well the Scots seemed to be a 45 rpm record playing on 33 and 1/3 speed for most of the first half. They did have two nice scoring chances that were turned away by highlight reel saves by the Buckeye Valley keeper but nothing else was really close. The second half was a bit better with a few more chances and some better communication and hustle.
It is a “Big Valley”(classic show with Linda Evans, early sixties?) week for the Scots as the boys will enjoy a team meal after practice today and host River Valley tomorrow at 7pm.
Today’s shoutout goes to all the parents who provide their time, money and effort to make these team meals possible. The boys and the coach really appreciate them. Thank you very much.
Have a great Tuesday everybody and hydrate, the heat and humidity are back!
