The Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Loudonville tonight and defeated the Redbirds 3-0. The victory raises the teams record to 8-4-2. The victory also secured the 1st winning season in the program’s short four year existence.
The Scots got on the board early in the 1st half on a goal from Emma Hinkle. Briauna Bisbee set up Hinkle with a beautiful pass forward that split the Redbirds defense. Izzy Arnett-Tomasek added a goal with under 10 seconds left in the 1st Half on a free kick from just outside the box.
The Scots added their third and final goal of the evening midway through the 2nd half, when off of a corner, Seniors Alexis Shaw and Madison Dudgeon, fighting hard for possession of the ball, were able to get just enough on it to put it past the keeper. Madison Dudgeon was credited with the goal for the Scots!
The defense held firm the rest of the match, holding Loudonville scoreless. This represents the 5th shutout of the season for the team. Madison Zamer was outstanding in goal for the Scots.
The Scots return to action, Thursday October 10th at Mansfield St. Peter’s. Match set for a 5pm start. #GoScots
