On Saturday, the Lady Scots 5 game winning streak came to end. They looked to go on the road and start a new streak at Licking Heights on Wednesday night. It wouldn’t be easy to do. In the first half, the Hornets from Licking Heights jumped out quickly to a 1-0 lead in the first 10 minutes. The Lady Scots responded though with a goal midway through the half off of a corner kick goal by Destiny Carpenter that tied things up 1-1. The score would stay that way until the half. In the second half, the game became hotly contested as both teams battled to take the lead. Finally, with 5:35 to go in the contest, Emma Hinkle drew a penalty kick and buried it for a 2-1 Highland lead. The Lady Scots would hang on and finish with a 2-1 road victory. Kayley Smith also finished the game with 13 saves for the Lady Scots as they improve their record to 8-4-1 on the season. Their next contest is at home this Saturday vs North Union. Game time is 4pm
